The number of these units (units) is usually from 10 to 20 pieces. The action is carried out using combat units symbolizing squads from several people to large military connections. Therefore, both definitions are important for the designation of the genre, which is discussed. There are tactical games that are not military, for example, "shooters" ( "Doom: Board game") or "Dunzan-Craulers" ( Descent: JourneyS in the Dark). There are military games that are not tactical, for example, global wargames. We take part in operations (battles), which begin with a predetermined alignment of the forces and require the implementation of certain tasks, that is, only part of the war, the causes and the main actions of which remain behind the scenes.

We do not capture countries and continents, do not plan war and campaign. Tactical - it means that the action is not carried out on the strategic, but at the operating level. Military means an action takes place on a certain war. Therefore, to begin with, we will define what will be understood in the article under the word "military-tactical". In Russian, there is no exhaust and standardized terminology to designate various gaming genres, which is present in the West.
